This past weekend, 89 enthusiastic shooters gathered to compete in our annual Cowboy action match, “Westmatch”.
The weather was a winning combination of sunshine and perfect temperatures, just like a cowboy’s favorite pair of boots! Participants showcased their skills in a thrilling expedition of cowboy action shooting that was as exhilarating as a wild horse ride.
Well, there was 11 of them – ya that’s right! Perfect scores without a single hiccup. To say these shooters were at the top of their game would be an understatement.
After a day of shooting, the camaraderie continued with a Saturday night brisket dinner that kept their spirits high and their bellies full. Nothing says ‘Cowboy’ like gathering around some smoked brisket!
On top of the main events, our competitors also enjoyed several fun side matches including Wild Bunch and Plainsman just to name a couple. The laughter and the friendly banter proves that in the world of cowboy action shooting it’s not just about the winners hanging their hats but also the memories that were made.
So here’s to another fantastic event filled with great shooting, delightful food, and a community that feels like family. Until next time, keep your guns clean and your spirits high, cowboys and cowgirls!
