Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, bitter cold and snow, this was a day for the hardy.

Thirteen shooters huddle under cover, one posse not wanting to give up. It was a close call at the end of the second stage in bay one, either make a run for home or stick it out. It didn’t really take much prodding and it was decided that with some miner tweaking we could shoot stages three and four in bay two as “stand and deliver”.

We had made it this far and there was still one lone clean shooter, “we can’t quit now” was the battle cry for stage five, stage six however only brought tears. Stage six was a 10 on four round count, what could be easier, however It was quite a poke out there even for a rifle.

The last lone “clean shooter” stood with rifle in hand, at the beep the shooter started on the furthest target with three rounds then three on next target then… then it happened, just inches from target three the clean match was lost.

Saturday brought us a very chilly and damp morning, that said 22 shooters moseyed in from all parts of the Washington Badlands and once again I get the honors to introduce to yawl a new to us but not to CAS shooter, say Howdy to Meeteese Jack.

Clean shooters were scares as hens teeth but there were 4, Way ta go.

Sundays weather was a carbon copy of Saturday, fairly pleasant with spots of light showers mixed in.

Our newest guest match director, Tuscan Grit was back with a fresh set of stages that seamed to please everyone, especially the days five clean shooters.

Saturday morning started off with gray skies and light rain but that wouldn’t last, before the first round went down range the rain had subsided and the winds became calm. Thirty three competitors from across the Pacific NW. possed up for some fresh and challenging stages presented by our guest match director Tuscan Grit.

Todays clean match report came with a couple surprises. In no particular order….. no one…zip. nada!
